Balzac in Fontainebleau
In February 2014 I visited the Fontainebleau Castle. In the gardens my attention was attracted by the numerous sculptures scattered around that were protected from inclement weather by white cloths. I took photos.

These "veiled" and feminized figures hid the secrets of the sculpture's own physicities, and this secret that was impossible to reveal led to my own interest and curiosity. I think that in painting a similar mechanism operates, in which, although there is nothing veiled, there is also a difficulty in "unveiling" that which is hidden.
